November 30, 2006right here, right now.Gosh, wasn't last night's Veronica Mars amazing folks? The answer you are searching for is YES, trust me... SCRUBS tonight. I keep seeing previews for the musical episode and it's getting me excited. There is nothing I love more than a quality half hour with Zach Braff. Someone should give me some answers regarding this Fall Out Boy tour. Basically I just want to know if Lifetime are playing any NYC/Boston area dates of it. That's all. LIFETIME <3333 Seriously, they are my teen years. I have loved them forever. I would kill to see them again. They were so amazing this past July at the ICC, one of the best shows of my life. Basically I am afraid this tour will sell out in .5 seconds without me getting tickets. Whatever, I will go to a Boston or NYC date if that is what is needed.
Basically I'm saying if it sells out and Lifetime is playing - I will have to smash some faces in, Logan Echolls style. I really need to stop with these VM references, you people who don't watch the show probably think I'm ridiculous....does anyone even read this? Hmmm.

November 27, 2006The Greatest. If you can't tell by the subject of this entry, I am listening to Cat Power. She's amazing, everyone should listen to this cd. I grew up listening to blues and jazz when I was little, and this reminds me of all the times my mom would have that music on the stereo in the house. I used to listen to Robert Johnson (the greatest blues musician who ever lived, for those not in the know) on my Mickey Mouse tapedeck, for real. Amazing, right? I was a pretty cool kid. That was the first tape I ever owned, haha. It's weird when people ask the first cd you ever got, because when I was little you still bought tapes! Veronica Mars tomorrow night is going to be insane. I seriously urge everyone in the universe to watch this show. It's on at 9pm on the CW after Gilmore Girls. I can't wait to find out who the Hearst Rapist is in tomorrows ep. Then the show goes on break for 7 weeks. NO VERONICA FOR 7 WEEKS? THEY ARE KILLING ME HERE. I'm beginning to want some snow. But, it was 60 here in Massachusetts today. Weather.com says it will be 45 tomorrow. WTF New England? The weather here can't make up it's mind!

November 9, 2006I think my body hates me.I have been sick since Saturday and my cold has gotten WORSE today. Wicked awesome. (Can you tell I'm Bostonian? Hahaha. Wicked.) I have been drinking TONS of water, green tea with lemon, eating lots of soup, vegetables, vitamins, etc. It does not seem to be helping. BAH! I hate being sick, this is like the first time in a YEAR I've been sick too. I hadn't been sick since I've gone vegan. I guess it had to catch up to me sometime! Elliott Smith is the PERFECT soundtrack for the fall/winter months. For real. I could listen to his "Either/Or" cd on repeat for days. My mother has been SINGING the past 2 days because the Democrats finally took back the country, basically. She's so excited, it's semi-hilarious. My parents are FANATICAL democrats. I can't even begin to explain it, I live in such a politically active house. I kinda love it though, my parents always brought me up in a very liberal atmosphere and taught me to speak up in what I believe in. It's good stuff, I have an amazing mom and dad. By the way, speaking of politics - anyone else pissed at the amount of propositions that passed in various states that voted yes to ban gay marriage? Come on people, this is 2006, not 1900. I can't believe how backwards this country is with human rights sometimes. Enough of my ranting about the US, that could go on all night. I'm gonna end this here and get some more tea.

November 8, 2006Holy smokes!!Let's start this journal off by saying I went to the best show ever of my life on Friday night. I saw Chris Conley from Saves the Day - solo acoustic. It was insane in the best way possible. If you DON'T know Saves the Day then I suggest you run out this very moment and buy up all their cd's, you won't regret it. Favorite band ever. Chris is basically the nicest, sweetest guy I've met in music. He's always just so gracious when he talks to fans. The set was an hour and a half and was all requests from the audience. He played "Sell My Old Clothes", "Three Mile Down" and "Jodie" when I asked. JODIE. WHICH HE LIKE NEVER PLAYS EVER. L-O-V-E. <33333 Plus he played super old stuff like "When It Isn't Like It Should Be" which is my fave song from their demo tape and "A Drag In D Flat" which is a pretty old b-side. This band constantly makes me regain my faith in music today. I am so glad Saves the Day and Chris are around, and I hope they are for a very long time. Other than that I have been sick since Sunday night with the worst sore throat ever. I have had so much soup that I feel like I'm going to start turning INTO a can of Campbell's...gross. I want to see Marie Antoinette and Borat. Takers? I think they should make an Ali G movie next, BOOYAKASHA!!!! PS: I just got woken up from my nap by my phone ringing, Universal Records called asking me if I want to go to The Sounds/Shiny Toy Guns show for free. Um....DUH? Check out Shiny Toy Guns for sure, they are great dance party music.
