wednesday is post-VM recap day.

Ok lurkers, some of you have to be Veronica Mars watchers here. Um, can we just discuss how this was the most INSANE EPISODE EVER of the season so far? I thought the one where the rapist was revealed was pretty nuts, but this took the cake. Or maybe peanut butter cookies would be more accurate considering what occurred...

WARNING - IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT. YOU PROBABLY DON'T WANT TO READ FURTHER.

-First off, can I discuss how much I love Bronson/Mac? Cuteness. I am glad Mac has a crazy, non-psycho killer boyfriend after what Beaver put her through. She totally deserves a sweet guy more than anyone else on the show. Team Vegan all the way!

-Logan/Parker - I have no idea how I feel about them yet. They are kinda cute but sometimes Parker annoys me in that bubbly, blonde "sometimes I'm snarky but I can be an airhead too" way. I'm glad Logan seems to be "getting over" Veronica, and I agree that LoVe needs a break right now...but I don't know if he should be jumping back into the sea for another fish so soon...hmm.

-On that note, bring on "Pizonica"? I might be warming up to that idea....if they write it well, it COULD work. Obviously only temporarily, because LoVe is the ONLY way to go.

-Um. DEAN O'DELL MURDER. HOLY CONFUSION! I am 99% sure I know who the killer is, and I won't spoil it for you guys...but so far they are setting this up pretty good 'cause although I know who did it, I have no idea how it's played out. I'm super curious to see how this whole murder was set-up.

-COACH MURDER. Let me just say I'm glad cute Josh didn't do it. I would have been in heartbreak city yo.

-And finally....and obviously the most shocking thing since the season 2 finale. WHYYYY ROB THOMAS AND VM WRITERS, WHYYYY? My little Lamb chop. :( DEAD? Gahhhh! Say it ain't so! That came out of NOWHERE. I mean they didn't even tease a death in the previews! In-fucking-sane. I don't know what to think. I'm glad Papa Mars is sherriff (for the time being) but I am going to miss the awesomeness of Lamb/Veronica snarky exchanging of lines. I pretty much had tears in my eyes last night the second after Keith said it. This only reconfirms that NO ONE on Veronica Mars is safe... PS: How amazing was Wallace's exchange w/ Lamb? Bringing it back to season 1 references, OH YEAHHH.

*sigh* This show breaks my heart and reels me in, all in one episode. That my friends, is good TV. Actually...this is the only TV I watch. :-x Oof. How will I survive during the 8 WEEK HIATUS that the show takes after next week? And more importantly - anyone else notice that everyone w/ animal nicknames (Beaver, Lamb..) DIES in this show? Jeez.

ATTENTIONNNN, ATTENTIONNN

I am literally posting this everywhere so my apologies if you've already seen this.

So...you should ALL watch David Letterman tomorrow night because my boyzzzz Jon Groff and Mr. Johnny Gallagher are going to be on, along w/ the rest of the amazingly fantastic cast of Spring Awakening which is on Broadway right now. They are going to be bringing sexy dance moves to your TV tomorrow night, and you obviously don't want to miss it, do you? NO! Trust me girls, you will swoon for Groff & Gallagher k. They are both in their 20's so it's all legal to commence swoonage, you have my word.

The cast is also apparently going to be on "The View" the day after too, ahhh so exciting!

Basically if you live in the NYC area, go see Spring Awakening. It's insanely awesome. People are calling it the new RENT or whatever, and from what I can judge that's a pretty damn good compliment. (I don't like RENT, so I am just going off what I've been told.) Anyways, how can you NOT love a musical that has: rock numbers that make you feel like you are at a show, songs about masturbation, awkward sex scenes, dudes kissing (for you girls or guys who like that stuff), etc. I mean honestly, that's as cool as it's gonna get. I'm going to stop gushing now but you get my point, WATCH. Tres exciting. Apparently this is the first time in 10 years a musical has been asked to perform on Letterman too, ahhh.

Snow day, v-day?

I woke up this morning and completely forgot it was Valentine's Day. Whoops! It has been snowing since about midnight, and my college cancelled classes for the day - I was too busy being excited about the first real snowfall of this winter. Besides, snow days are sooooo much cooler than stupid Valentine's Day...right?

I must say I am loving the V-Day layouts up on FOE and LJ though.

I really like all these "V-Day Playlists" on FOE too, so I'm going to contribute my own:

  • The Cure - Friday I'm In Love
  • Ben Folds - The Luckiest
  • Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Follow You Into the Dark
  • Bright Eyes - First Day of My Life
  • Frank Sinatra - I've Got You Under My Skin
  • Sondre Lerche - After All
  • Lifetime - Hey Catrine
  • Modern English - I'll Melt With You
  • Saves the Day - Hold
  • The Police - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
  • Elliott Smith - Say Yes
  • Weezer - Falling For You
  • The Get Up Kids - Valentine
  • The Beatles - Love Me Do

And there you have it, that is one sexy playlist. Sidenote: My first year at college three years ago, my parents shipped me a Vermont Teddy Bear on Valentine's Day to my dorm in NYC, how cute are they!?

Turn the bassline up...

Long time, no journal! Blame...laziness maybe? I don't know. I've been having too much fun sipping British tea and reading "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck. I highly reccomend by the way, it may be over 600 pages but it's a pretty awesome read.

Actually ever since Veronica Mars started new episodes again 2 and a half weeks ago I've been sucked in and too busy for Buzznet. So if you want to blame anyone, blame Kristen Bell. Let me just say how much I FULLY ENDORSE Mac/Bronson and they might just be my new favorite couple. I think The CW must know I'm a sucker for cute veg/vegan boys. =x

I haven't listened to the new Fall Out Boy yet, but let me endorse some other majorly delicious albums that come out this Tuesday as well.

LIFETIME - Honestly do I even have to say anything? They are living legends of the hardcore scene. Pick this up and let your ears be treated. I'd say most of the bands in this "scene" (god I hate that word) would not exist today if it weren't for Lifetime. Check them out on myspace.

SONDRE LERCHE - Jazzy indie pop singer from Norway. I think Sondre might just have one of my favorite voices in music, besides Elliott Smith and Chris Conley. His albums are perfect for putting on and sipping some hot cocoa while chillin'. I adore his new album, it's such a 180 from his last, which was much more jazz infused. He decided to go more rock on this one and I can't stop dancing around to it. Check his myspace out here.

That's all I got. Oh! I almost forgot. So two of my favorite bands on the PLANET - Saves the Day & Say Anything - are going on tour together this Spring. Everyone pick up a ticket to this show, ok? Support what I think is THE tour of the spring to catch...you won't be dissapointed, trust me.
